DOUBLE OUR MONEY
We seldom ask Coalition members to contribute cash toward
Coalition programs. However, we have been offered a golden
opportunity. Ontario
Cultural Attractions Fund (OCAF) has pledged, until
October 4, to match every new dollar we can raise in support
of ArtsWeek 2004. OCAF will double our money.
OCAF has pledged up to $200,000 toward the costs of ArtsWeek
2004 and its further future development. We’ve raised
close to $60,000 to date, through gifts and sales of advertising.
OCAF has another $140,000 earmarked for us, but we need
your help to collect it.
In relation to benefit, it doesn’t cost much to produce
ArtsWeek, but it does cost something. Neither the Coalition
nor Toronto Arts Council Foundation—producers of ArtsWeek
2004—share in any box office, even though our work
serves to bolster arts sector revenues overall.
So, give it some thought. Your contribution—of any
amount—can help pay the costs of ArtsWeek 2004, while
building ArtsWeek into a significant annual event and helping
to improve the health of the arts in Toronto. You’ll
get thanks and a tax receipt. And we’ll get double
the bang for our buck.
