NOTICE: JUNE 10th DEADLINE FOR STATUS OF THE ARTIST SURVEY

Coalition members are urged to participate in the Minister's Advisory Council for Arts and Culture's survey on the status of the artist in Ontario. Survey results will be used by the Status of the Artist Sub-Committee to identify areas of primary importance to arts and cultural communities in Ontario and inform future discussions on enhancement of the social and economic conditions of artists. ArtsWeek’s Call For Registration begins now! ArtsWeek (September 22 – October 2) is an annual celebration of the arts in Toronto and is an opportunity for artists and arts organizations to showcase their work. IN THE FRONTLINES: O’Connor Gallery

On May 28, a statue of the historic figure Alexander Wood was unveiled at the corner of Church and Alexander. Dennis O’Connor, the director and owner of The O’Connor Gallery, also chairs the Church-Wellesley Village Business Improvement Area (BIA), which initiated the quarter million dollar project. It’s a great example of how business and the arts can work together to develop community and support local artists. (More)
