ARTSWEEK: Call for Registration
ArtsWeek’s Call For Registration begins now!
ArtsWeek (September 22 – October 2) is an annual celebration
of the arts in Toronto and is an opportunity for artists
and arts organizations to showcase their work. It’s
a time for us all to recognize the value of the arts of
the City, its citizens, and its visitors. Having an event?

What is Artsweek? Arts Toronto, which for
17 years has tirelessly promoted and celebrated the arts
in Toronto, created the original. Toronto Arts Council Foundation
(TACF) acquired the trademark for ArtsWeek in January 2004.
In order to better celebrate the arts, a re-design was implemented,
with three important contexts in mind; to wit, each of the
following had their specific needs and aims: small, mid-sized
and large organizations; communities that were often dispersed
in geographical and cultural ways; and professional, educational,
social and recreational groups. The redesign fostered a
number of superb reviews.
And the process is ongoing. The base is being
broadened, with partnerships and promotion as key. ArtsWeek
business partners are even having events using retail and
office space.
The goals of TACF are the goals of ArtsWeek:
- to increase operating revenues available to Toronto
artists and their organizations
- to increase awareness of the value of Toronto’s
arts community to our city, our province and the rest
of Canada.
The result? ArtsWeek is the largest multidisciplinary
festival of the arts in Canada. Over 300 events taking place
in music, theatre, film & video, visual arts, crafts,
architecture, design, dance and more. This year, ArtsWeek
takes place from September 22 - October 2. Register your

Register by July 15 to be included in
our Festival & Events Guide - over 300,000 guides to
be distributed in Toronto, Southern ON and select US cities.
Participating in ArtsWeek is FREE - all events must be located
