IN THE FRONTLINES: METROPOLITAN HOTEL TORONTO

Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Metropolitan Hotel Toronto is one of the finest hotels that the City has to offer. With affiliations to the arts and cultural industry, Metropolitan Hotel Toronto offers its guests a truly Toronto experience. Learn more about how the Metropolitan Hotel is building relationships with arts organizations in Toronto.

“Currently, we have packages with the AGO, The National Ballet of Canada, Mirvish Productions, Second City and The Canadian Opera Company. We actively promote and advertise these packages within Canada and the United States,” says Colleen Ross, the Director of Sales and Marketing at Metropolitan Hotel Toronto. The packages were created for guests who come to Toronto to immerse themselves in its culture. “We believe that art and culture is a key element as to why a leisure traveller would choose a city as opposed to a resort destination,” says Ross. It makes perfect sense for a city hotel such as Metropolitan Hotel Toronto to provide a package that would satisfy guests who want everything, from excellent accommodation to great entertainment.

Metropolitan Hotel Toronto also actively promotes Canadian artists to guests who stay at the hotel. “We have been putting Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s CDs in rooms for guests to take home. Also, we’re currently in the development stage of a project to promote up and coming Canadian musicians. Their music will be compiled into CDs and put in rooms,” says Ross.

Few cities in North America can compare to Toronto when it comes to the arts. There is no doubt that the success of Metropolitan Hotel Toronto depends on how actively the Hotel affiliates itself with the City’s arts and cultural scene. And it makes perfect sense to know that one of the most important objectives of Metropolitan Hotel Toronto is to work closely with the arts and cultural industry. Smart thinking.
